Other possible groups to monitor in relation to funding bid:
The Beneficiary groups are to be: migrants from Europe, working age welfare benefit recipients, adults with low qualifications and skills, the elderly inactive, young people in care or leaving care and adult/young offenders (all of whom are represented in parts of Thanet much above UK averages and between whom tensions exist).
6f. Will the project target any other vulnerable groups, for example, carers, people with mental health conditions? Please specify.
One of the vulnerable groups to be targeted will be “Pensioners living alone”, particularly those who are inactive in community life. Incapacity “Benefit claimants for mental health reasons” will also feature, as this group is represented above average in the work of mediation services. Amongst the beneficiary groups listed under 6e (above), we would expect there to be high representation of other vulnerable groups eg children in 'out of work' families, which links to our track record in Family Support Work as part of the action-plans that Community Inclusion Teams might uphold.
